Job Title: Seasonal Tax Associate (CPA)

Job Type: Part-Time, Seasonal

Approximate Annual Hours: 1,000 hours

Work Periods: February–April and August–October


Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our team as a Seasonal Tax Associate. This part-time position is ideal for a seasoned tax professional who excels in a deadline-driven environment and is looking to contribute their expertise during peak tax seasons. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing various types of tax returns, maintaining compliance with federal and state tax laws, and delivering exceptional service to our clients.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate and timely tax returns, including partnership, S-corporation, trust, and personal income tax filings
  • Request, collect, and organize all necessary tax documents and information from clients
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state tax regulations
  • Maintain well-organized and updated client files in accordance with firm policies and procedures
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide a high level of service and support
  • Collaborate with team members while also working independently to meet deadlines

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  • Active CPA license in good standing
  • Minimum of 5–10 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on business and personal tax preparation
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience using CCH ProSystem fx and related tax software preferred
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Self-motivated team player capable of working independently
