Senior Associate Attorney (Dual Role: Firm Resource & Securities Practice Area Backup)

About Us

We are a boutique law firm of approximately 10 attorneys and 3 paralegals, practicing in securities, M&A and day-to-day contract drafting, review and negotiation. Our firm culture values collaboration, excellence, and a client-first mindset. We are seeking an experienced attorney to join us as a senior peer who will both serve as a resource for our lawyers across the firm and provide depth in one of our key practice areas.

Role Overview

This is a dual-function role designed to support the firm’s growth and efficiency:

1. Buffer / Legal Resource Role

This role would function as an intermediate support lawyer who:

  • Fields day-to-day legal and procedural questions from your team.
  • Provides first-level review of work product before it reaches you if the lawyer owning the matter feels that a review is needed.
  • Acts as a mentor / trainer to less-experienced associates and paralegals.

2. Securities Practice Area Attorney Role

  • Handles client matters when team member is unavailable (vacation, leave, high caseload).
  • Helps grow capacity in this area.
  • Eventually could help scale that practice area by training or mentoring future hires in it.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school; licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of practice experience, ideally with exposure to at least two of the firm’s focus areas.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor junior attorneys and provide constructive feedback.
  • Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent judgment, initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A collaborative mindset and interest in contributing to firm-wide growth.

Why Join Us?

  • Opportunity to shape a newly created, high-impact role that supports both firm efficiency and client service.
  • Work directly with the Managing Partner and senior attorneys, while also serving as a mentor to junior lawyers.
  • Be part of a boutique firm culture with entrepreneurial energy and strong client relationships.
  • Gain leadership exposure without the administrative burdens of management.

All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be legally authorized to work in the United States and are required to have U.S. residency at the time of application.
