Job description

Our Customer is seeking a contract Securities Enforcement Attorney Editor with 3+ years of experience to support the development of online legal products within a practical guidance platform.
This role requires a self-motivated attorney with strong, concise writing skills who can work effectively both independently and collaboratively. The ideal candidate brings experience in securities enforcement, with a preference for familiarity with FINRA regulations and broker-dealer or investment adviser matters.
This is a part-time (5-15 hours/week), hourly position offering a flexible schedule and fully remote work arrangement.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with content leadership to develop, write, and edit practical guidance on securities enforcement topics and trends
- Draft, review, and annotate practice notes, forms, and checklists
- Apply subject matter expertise to support content development and ensure accuracy
- Research and analyze securities enforcement laws, regulations, and emerging trends
- Ensure content is clear, actionable, and aligned with legal best practices
Skills and Qualifications:
- Law degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with a U.S. State Bar (retired status acceptable)
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in securities enforcement and investigations
- Strong understanding of securities enforcement laws and regulatory trends
- Experience drafting legal documents related to enforcement and investigations
- Excellent writing, editing, and research skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word
- Strong communication skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing legal or practical guidance content
- Experience working with legal publications or knowledge management systems
