Job description

Our Customer was founded in 1982 in an effort to create a solid accounting firm headed by native professionals. They later branched out to other services, which is now a multinational professional services network with offices in over 150 countries and territories around the world. With more than 100,000 professionals, they provide audit and assurance, tax, consulting, and risk and financial advisory services to a broad cross-section of the largest corporations and governmental agencies.

We are seeking a contract Security Automation Specialist, to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.

The Digital & Analytics (D&A), Data Governance & Security team focuses on driving data strategy, quality, ownership, and consumption across Talent. The team partners with various stakeholder to mitigate risks associated with Talent data and establish/enforce best practices. The team’s responsibilities include establishing and socializing best practices on data use and data handling ethics, empowering Talent data consumers to be accountable for behaviors in relation to data, proactively managing data security and privacy using lean data methodologies and analyzing and coordinating data changes across Talent data systems.

This role reports to the Data Strategy Manager and provides support to the improvement of security automation across Talent to better secure data. We are looking for a versatile professional to be a key player in the journey to identify areas of opportunity for security automations in Talent and to develop robust stakeholder support documentation.



Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Learn the data security models for the various systems across Talent and compile recommendations of opportunity for automation.
  • Build out the spec system execute to automation recommendations, leveraging the expertise of the Data Strategy Manager.
  • Provide recommendations to improvements to the processes in place.
  • Develop knowledge and expertise of data security management standards and what sensitive fields and combinations of fields are.
  • Function as utility player across multiple areas on the team.
  • Document detailed toolkits and support materials to help stakeholders understand data security, security models across Talent systems and the benefits of security automation.
  • Develop and implement routines to keep the toolkits and support materials up to date.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum 3 years related experience or 2 years applied experience in managing and implementing data security models
  • 2 – 3 years’ experience in the follow applications:
  • Microsoft Office skills (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Word, Teams)
  • Knowledge of Active Directory security groups and how they are applied for data security.
  • Ability to balance detail (e.g., tracking nuanced stakeholder needs) while thinking strategically and holistically about underlying goals/needs.
  • Ability to think strategically and understand how security models can have downstream impacts.
  • Ability to formulate constructive questions to best understand current state security models.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and create compelling presentations for a broad set of stakeholders and other project teams from across the business, spanning multiple levels.
  • A self-starter who needs minimal guidance and instruction to perform daily responsibilities.
  • Proficient in quickly understanding data security and automation and communication it’s importance to stakeholders.
  • Work well in a dynamic, complex, client- and team-focused environment with minimal oversight and an agile mindset.
  • Analytical ability to delve into details while maintaining a broader business perspective.
  • Strong organizational skills, in executing multiple project priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to convey complex topics concisely.
  • Knowledge of the professional services industry.
  • Preferred:
  • Knowledge of data security and how it is applied in the professional services industry.
  • Knowledge of lean data methodology.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Powerpoint
  • 1-2 years of process improvement experience
