Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Accountant responsible for the day-to-day financial affairs of Finance/Accounting Department which has launched efforts to transform and optimize its Accounting & Finance function (optimize and transform business processes, systems and organizational structure). He or she will work with Payroll, Accounts Payable, General Accounting, Treasury Management, Debt Management, Financial Reporting and departmental budgeting functions. Additionally, he or she is responsible for the financial reporting: including financial statement preparation, audits reports, tax filing and statistical reports for both internal and external users.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Assist in the monthly close process

· Assist in the administration of general accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivables , and central cash services budgets

· Prepares monthly financial statements

· Prepares monthly cash flow forecasts

· Analyzes financial reports and records to include in financial studies and various management reports

· Assist internal and external auditors with interim and year end audits

· Responsible for maintaining and establishing internal control for all accounting , accounts payables, account receivables, and cash management functions


Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree required (Accounting or Finance)

· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred but not required

· 5 to 7 years or more of progressive work experience in relevant areas

· Strong communications skills

· Proficient with Excel and various financial systems/tools (NetSuite preferrable)

Preferred Qualifications (but not required):

  • Bachelor’s degree in business required (e.g. Accounting, Finance or Business Administration)
  • Senior Accounting Experience including:
  • Closing the books and records
  • Preparation of monthly financial statements
  • Preparation of cash flow forecasts
  • Implementation of process improvements
