Senior Accountant (Remote – Texas Only)
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire (20–25 hours/week to start; potential to move to Full-Time)
Hourly Rate:$45–$50/hour
Location: Remote (Must reside in Texas)
About the Role:
We are a fast-growing remote accounting firm serving landscape companies using the Aspire platform integrated with QuickBooks Online. We provide high-level accounting services. We’re looking for a skilled Senior Accountant with strong QuickBooks Online and Excel skills, a solid foundation in accrual-based accounting, and a client-friendly mindset. This is a remote, flexible, and long-term opportunity perfect for someone who wants to grow with a supportive and experienced team.
What You'll Do:
Lead accounting work for multiple clients on an accrual basis
Own the month-end close process (balance sheet, income statement, etc.)
Manage fixed asset schedules, depreciation, accruals, credit cards, payroll liabilities, and loans
Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts
Interact directly with clients in a trusted advisor role
Collaborate with a remote team and outsourced admin support
Train clients on financial workflows and business software (Aspire platform)
Be available during business hours (typically 9am–3pm CST), especially around month-end
What You Bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s preferred
Must reside in Texas
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or multi-client environments
Expert-level QuickBooks Online skills (non-negotiable)
Strong Excel and analytical skills
Professional, personable communication style—this is a client-facing role
Ability to manage multiple clients while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Self-motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced, remote-first work environment
Bonus: Familiarity with Aspire or landscape industry clients

Work Schedule:
