Job Title: Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager (Temp-to-Perm)
Location: Fremont, CA (Hybrid preferred)
Hours:40 hours/week - 3 days/week onsite and ability to determine a flex schedule based on individual needs.

Position Overview
Our client is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager to take ownership of core accounting operations during a critical growth phase. This role will start as a full-time temporary position with the potential to convert to permanent after approximately six months based on performance and business needs. This is an individual contributor role to start. This individual will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting the monthly close, and helping transition the company from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to NetSuite. The ideal candidate has strong experience in hardware, manufacturing, or inventory-based environments and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving
company.

Key Responsibilities
Core Accounting Operations
- Own day-to-day accounting activities including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and payroll entries
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of financial records in QBO (transitioning to NetSuite)
- Ensure proper accounting for inventory, cost of goods sold, and related transactions
Month-End Close
- Lead and execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Improve close timelines and establish scalable processes
Systems Transition (QBO → NetSuite)
- Support implementation and migration to NetSuite
- Assist with data validation, process design, and system testing
- Help establish best practices for ERP usage post-implementation Inventory & Manufacturing Accounting
- Track inventory movements, costing, and adjustments
- Support BOM, work order, and procurement accounting processes
- Ensure alignment between operational activity and financial reporting
Audit & Compliance Support
- Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors
- Assist with documentation of accounting policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
Financial Transaction Support
- Support complex transactions including revenue recognition, intercompany activity, and accruals
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed
- Verifying customer information
- Maintaining and updating customer information in the database
- Managing sales contracts, purchase orders, and maintaining an accurate database of sales records.
- Handling customer inquiries on quotes, orders
- Processing orders and ensuring to liaise with logistics department for timely shipment/delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in hardware, manufacturing, or inventory-driven environments strongly preferred
- Experience working in a small team or startup environment is a plus.
- Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks; NetSuite experience highly preferred. Open to experience with other accounting softwares as well.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
- Experience with inventory accounting and COGS required
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, growth-stage company
