Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.
We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Business Intelligence on a contract basis to work to support our Customer's business needs. As a data analyst on the Enterprise Analytics team, you will shape your colleagues’ interactions with a wide range of data critical to their decision making. You will also uncover insights that drive product and operational improvements. For this role, you should have excellent business and data analytical skills, excellent time-management and organizational habits, and the ability to communicate clearly and present information to stakeholders at all levels of the business. This role is onsite in Sunnyvale, CA.
What you’ll do:
- Analytics Use Case Lifecycle - Blueprinting through Implementation
- Partner with business teams to understand their data and reporting requirements
- Work closely with product managers, architects, and business units for knowledge-sharing, mentoring, and training
- Understand the decision-making process, workflows, and business and information needs of our business and analytic teams
- Collaborate with key stakeholders on how to best leverage analytics to inform better business decisions and optimization operations
- Collaborate with internal and external customers to develop an analytics portfolio consistent with the vision and goals of our stakeholders
- Drive standardization of key metrics across various business stakeholders to improve data governance
- Identify data gaps from downstream and upstream source systems
- Continual hypothesis testing through ad hoc analysis and model testing
- Storytelling with data: the ability to use data visualization effectively to tell a story and drive action by presenting information
- Define and design KPI-based dashboards/reports that summarize organizational health and highlight “hot spots” for executives to focus on
- Work with IT partners to improve data quality and governance with the goal of delivering value-added data for analytics
- Support analysts and UI engineers to enhance information visualization through the development of dashboards and user interfaces
- Work with Data Engineers and Data Architects to define back-end requirements for data products (aggregations, materialized views, tables – visualization)
- Data investigation to discover correlations/trends and the ability to explain them
- Continually recommend, develop, and implement improved processes to collect/analyze data, and visualize/present insights
Must Haves:
- Skills in Tableau, Snowflake, SQL, SAP/Salesforce
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Hours & Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week. This role is onsite in Sunnyvale, CA.
