Senior Application Developer, Java/J2EE

We are seeking a Senior Application Developer, Java/J2EE on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote and candidates must be able to work during Eastern Standard hours.

What You’ll Do:

• Work on a project for a new platform buildout
• Design and develop complex financial applications using Java/J2ee Technologies
• Coordinate with stakeholders and clients to analyze business requirements

Must Haves:

• 12+ years of experience as Sr. Java/J2EE Application Developer
• Ability to design and develop complex financial applications using Java/J2EE Technologies
• Strong in Microservices architecture, AWS services, and Spring boot Applications
• Strong in SQL/NOSQL database design and development
• Good experience building applications for financial asset classes such as Options, Futures, Equity, Commodity, and Fixed Income
• Good understanding of statistics, mathematical models, trading strategies, and algorithms
• Good understanding of Agile Process and team member responsibilities

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

Hours & Location:

• M-F, 40 hours/week. This role is 100% remote and candidates must be able to work during Eastern Standard hours.
