We are seeking a Senior Associate, Transportation on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.
The Senior Associate, Transportation will play a key role in leading day-to-day parcel movement across the U.S., with a focus on real-time shipment visibility, exception management, and carrier performance. This role serves as Team Lead for the Track and Trace team, providing operational guidance, coaching, and driving process improvements, while also remaining hands-on in daily operations. The position reports to the Associate Manager of Transportation.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily transportation operations: Monitor shipments, resolve exceptions, and maintain communication with carriers to ensure on-time performance.
- Lead the Track & Trace team: Guide workflows, provide real-time support, and ensure alignment with service priorities.
- Optimize processes: Build and evolve SOPs and performance playbooks to drive efficiency and operational improvements.
- Partner cross-functionally: Collaborate with Operations, Customer Support, and Carrier teams to ensure seamless execution and a consistent customer experience.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain operations.
- Proven experience managing or leading a team with a focus on performance, consistency, and service levels.
- Strong skills in real-time shipment monitoring, exception resolution, and carrier communication.
- Root-cause mindset for addressing service failures and driving sustainable solutions.
- Ability to build, implement, and scale processes in dynamic environments.
- Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for reporting, analysis, and data tracking.
- Ability to coordinate across transportation providers, customer service teams, and fulfillment centers.
Preferred:
- Experience with TMS platforms (e.g., Turvo, Mercury Gate, or similar).
- Familiarity with Zendesk or similar CX software.
- Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Background in building and training high-performing teams.
