Job description
Our client is hiring for a Remote Senior Bookkeeper (10-20 hours a week) working 100% for our firm! Our company is growing, and we need someone who can grow with us!
We are an outsourced accounting and advisory company working with entrepreneurs across the country to grow and improve their businesses.
We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper with strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills who wants to work in a company rather than own their own business.

1) Strong background in Accounting --Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
2) Strong Communication Skills (verbal and written): Strong, clear communication skills with internal team & clients.
3) Highly Organized -- be able to manage your time and workload well.
4) Attention to detail & Efficient -- clients want to know that you will get the job done quickly and on time as promised. Knowing how to get it "Done" efficiently, paying high attention to detail, and solving problems quickly are essential.
5) Tech Savvy & Process Improvement -- the accounting industry has new software being introduced every day. Understanding how to apply technology and continuously improve processes to be more efficient and to make our clients successful is highly valued.

Requirements:
• US applicants
• 3+ years of bookkeeping experience or an accounting degree is a must
• Proper office set-up (ie: multiple monitors and strong internet service)
• Proficient in QuickBooks Online
• Pro-advisor certification in recent versions is a plus.
• Proficiency in Google, LastPass, Keeper.app, Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• A clear understanding of accrual and cash basis of accounting.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with service-based business accounting (healthcare experience is a plus)
• Capable of taking the lead, working independently
• Can meet with and lead our overseas team on a weekly basis
• Has no desire to start their own accounting/bookkeeping business
Bonus Points:
Have Managing a team, Operations and/or Marketing & Networking experience to help the business grow.
Job Summary:
- In your role, you will be the main contact for the clients and will be responsible for handling their requests as well as staff questions related to the books.
- Meet with the offshore team and handle any of their questions/requests to ensure work is done efficiently and accurately.
- You will be responsible for ensuring the quality of financial records through regular review of transactions/reports; assisting in all financial accounting processes; reviewing client books, and preparing financial statements and management reports.
- Month & year-end closing, including financial analysis.
Other responsibilities could include, processing accounts payable, bank reconciliations, and preparing business compliance filings such as 1099’s, payroll, and sales tax.
- Additionally, you will be responsible for helping with onboarding new clients and ensuring bookkeepers are meeting their deadlines.
- Other finance/accounting projects may come up as well.
- Hours will be from 10 to 20 hours per week starting.
