We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst on HR Systems & Employee Lifecycle Domain on a contract basis to help support our customer’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.


The main function of this role is to support reviewing & refining project/enhancement requests across multiple 1st party & 3rd party applications within the HR technology and employee lifecycle domain. This is a collaborative role with a focus on partnering with business stakeholders to clearly define problem statements, requirements, and prioritization, and translating those to clear, complete technical requirements for engineering partners.


This role will be responsible for analyzing user requirements specific to HR systems and employee lifecycle processes, planning & organizing UAT, communicating status updates, gathering additional information when needed, and balancing the forward progress of multiple requests across HR technology, People Operations, and engineering partner groups. The analyst will also support long-term projects by partnering with solution designers to draft functional & business requirements documents (FRD & BRD), plan & internal testing/ UAT, and support hypercare operations for HR technology implementations.



Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a liaison between HR stakeholders, People Operations, engineering teams, and business partners to manage HR technology enhancement requests.
  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for HR technology initiatives and employee lifecycle processes.
  • Partner with stakeholders to define problem statements, business priorities, success criteria, and solution requirements.
  • Validate business justifications and impact assessments for enhancement requests.
  • Apply enhancement impact scoring methodologies to prioritize HR technology initiatives.
  • Translate HR business requirements into technical solutions across multiple platforms and applications.
  • Organize requirements and facilitate collaboration between HR, engineering, and cross-functional teams throughout project lifecycles.
  • Provide status updates, communicate blockers, and manage stakeholder expectations for enhancement requests and projects.
  • Rapidly navigate and research information across Workday, Salesforce, DocuSign/SpringCM, and other employee lifecycle systems.
  • Apply solution design and system governance principles to refine requirements and prioritize initiatives.
  • Support HR technology implementations, integrations, and process improvement initiatives across the employee lifecycle.
  • Manage escalations from HR stakeholders while balancing business priorities and engineering capacity.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT), validation, and deployment activities.
  • Develop and maintain business requirements documents (BRDs), functional requirements documents (FRDs), process flows, and technical documentation.
  • Evaluate integration requirements and system dependencies across HR technology platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, governance standards, data privacy requirements, and employment regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process optimization, and digital transformation within HR operations.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Human Resources Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 5+ years of experience working with HR systems, HRIS platforms, HCM systems, or HR technology solutions.
  • Deep understanding of employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, performance management, compensation, benefits administration, time and leave management, career development, and offboarding.
  • Experience with HR technology implementations and system integrations across hire-to-retire processes.
  • Knowledge of HR compliance requirements, employment regulations, and employee data governance.
  • 4+ years of hands-on Workday configuration experience across multiple HCM modules, including Core HR, Benefits, Compensation, Time & Leave, Payroll, and Recruiting.
  • Strong understanding of Workday security provisioning, business processes, reporting, calculated fields, and data management.
  • Experience with Workday integrations, including Studio, EIB (Enterprise Interface Builder), and Workday Web Services (WWS).
  • 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce experience.
  • Strong experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements for HR technology projects.
  • Experience translating HR business processes into technical solutions across multiple systems and applications.
  • Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills.
  • Experience with system integration patterns, APIs, and enterprise application architecture.
  • Experience in planning and executing user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution design skills.
  • Experience creating process documentation, BRDs, FRDs, and workflow diagrams.
  • Knowledge of data privacy, security, and compliance considerations within HR systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Workday certifications or module-specific certifications.
  • Salesforce certifications.
  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud for employee support workflows.
  • Experience with Salesforce-Workday integrations and data synchronization.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce AI capabilities, including Agentforce and Einstein.
  • Experience with DocuSign or SpringCM.
  • Experience with AI tools, workflow automation, conversational AI, or process optimization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled HR technologies and digital transformation programs.
  • Experience participating in change control boards or HR technology governance processes.
  • Project management experience supporting HR technology implementations.
  • Experience supporting global HR operations and multi-entity environments.
