Job description

Our Customer is a global technology company that focuses on business-to-business and information technology capabilities for enterprises. They focuses on three, primary solution areas: cloud and data center transformation, connected workforce, and digital innovation. They are a leading provider of computer hardware, software, cloud solutions and IT services to business, government, education and healthcare clients.


We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days on-site and 2 days remote/week) in Chandler, AZ.


The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for the identification and development of business process changes and improvements for one or multiple business areas at Insight. The Senior Business Analyst works to improve Insight’s business processes and supports critical business strategies by managing and/or participating in the analysis of what is needed and development of functional and/or process requirements, as well as the documentation, training, and testing, requisite changes. The Senior Business Analyst serves as a liaison between the company and its client, ensuring excellent client service and satisfaction. They are also responsible for the management of client relationships, developing and managing onboarding plans, and delivering on commitments. This person may consult with department leaders and business heads to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives. The incumbent has broad expertise in business and system concepts, practices, and procedures. This person is capable of providing leadership and guidance for one or multiple projects.


The Senior Business Analyst relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. The incumbent demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures. This person may provide consultation on complex projects, client onboarding, and is considered to be a competent contributor/specialist. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The Senior Business Analyst will report directly to the Senior Manager of Business Transformation.


Communication in a number of areas is essential for this position. The Senior Business Analyst participates actively as a liaison and ambassador between the client community, business community, and the technical community. In addition, (s)he participates actively as a Business Analyst team member by passing on business, process, and system expertise to other team members in a cooperative team environment.


The Senior Business Analyst brings an understanding of business processes and business policy to the team, as well as an established background in SAP. The desire to continue personal education in related areas, such as business and process improvement, is important.



Responsibilities:

  • Identify, analyze, and recommend business process changes and improvements.
  • Act as liaison between client, business, and technical communities to align business and technology goals.
  • Build strong working relationships with business units by understanding unique needs and practices.
  • Develop and refine the skills of business team members in areas such as SAP awareness and business analysis.
  • Communicate effectively across organizational levels to gain trust, gather needs, propose solutions, and resolve conflicts.
  • Design, document, and continually improve business processes.
  • Work closely with business and technical teams to document, resolve, and retest defects, including management of defect logs for larger projects.
  • Communicate status of change requests and programs to business units.
  • Ensure all assigned change requests are managed through the Software Development Lifecycle in a timely manner.
  • Act as Project Manager for business or system changes when one has not been assigned, including management of project documentation such as charters, scope, plans, and risk registers.
  • Manage development of training and/or change management plans to support change requests moving into production.
  • Manage development and execution of test scripts and plans (unit and integration).
  • Facilitate pre-production Go/No-Go calls, coordinating with technical and business resources.
  • Work with business superusers to gather or review requirements and ensure completeness without adverse upstream or downstream effects.
  • Assess impacts of requested changes across functional departments and SAP modules.
  • Coordinate and conduct meetings, including agenda preparation, note-taking, and action item tracking.
  • Mentor business analysts by sharing expertise in business needs, client relationships, and technical understanding.
  • Act as catalyst for change with experience in organizational design and change management.
  • Develop integrated plans to ensure timely resolution of change requests and projects.
  • Participate in recruiting new business analysts and mentoring team members.
  • Provide direction to consulting resources when necessary.
  • Identify and justify the need for project resources such as process owners, experts, training, or technical support.
  • Architect, design, and document business processes as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in requirements definition, project management, change management, and problem-solving in a service business environment.
  • 7+ years of experience working with an ERP system, preferably SAP.
  • Expertise with two or more SAP R/3 modules and a minimum of two implementations or upgrades.
  • Strong background in business process analysis and change management.
  • Demonstrated experience applying AI tools and techniques to enhance business analysis, reporting, or process automation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Power Query for data transformation, cleansing, and integration across multiple sources.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Pivot, macros, dashboards).
  • Ability to leverage AI-driven insights to support decision-making and process optimization.
  • Experience integrating AI models or automation tools into workflows or reporting systems.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling and analytics using Excel and Power Query.
  • Familiarity with process flow mapping tools such as Microsoft Visio.
  • Experience with SharePoint is a plus.
  • Project management experience, including project plan development, milestone tracking, and reporting.
  • Experience in group work sessions focused on workflow, business analysis, planning, and system testing.
  • Strong communication, presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to embrace change and act as a catalyst for organizational transformation.
  • Ambitious, adaptable, and proactive, with a demonstrated ability to deliver results with minimal supervision.
