The Mom Project is excited to support Etsy with their search for a Senior Compensation Analyst to join their team on a contract basis.

This team is a small, yet dynamic, collaborative team focusing on crafting the strategy, frameworks, and processes behind how we reward new and existing talent in a market competitive, transparent and equitable way.

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and analytical Senior Compensation Partner to join our dynamic People team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing our compensation programs to attract, motivate, and retain top talent. This role requires a strategic problem solver with a deep understanding of compensation practices, market trends, and regulatory requirements. As a key member of the Total Rewards team, you will partner to keep Etsy’s pay for performance plans competitive, reportable, and aligned with the company’s overall business strategy.



Responsibilities:

  • Develop and lead compensation programs, including salary structures, incentive plans, and bonus programs.
  • Conduct market analyses to ensure competitive compensation positioning and internal equity.
  • Analyze compensation data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate implementation and administration of compensation programs in alignment with organizational goals and legal requirements.
  • Lead annual compensation review processes, including merit increases, promotions, bonuses, and equity distributions.
  • Partner with HR business partners and senior leadership on compensation-related initiatives and decisions.
  • Develop and maintain compensation policies and procedures aligned with best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to compensation guidelines and practices across the organization.
  • Provide training and guidance to HR and management teams on compensation-related topics.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Talent Acquisition, Finance, and other departments to align compensation programs with organizational objectives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for compensation-related questions and strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in cross-functional total rewards and employee engagement projects.
  • Maintain accurate compensation data within HR systems.
  • Prepare reports and presentations related to compensation trends, metrics, and program effectiveness.
  • Utilize data analytics to provide insights and recommendations to leadership.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience designing, implementing, and managing compensation programs.
  • Proficiency in Workday, Google Suite, and AI tools
  • Strong knowledge of compensation strategy, salary structures, incentive plans, and bonus programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience conducting market analysis and compensation benchmarking.
  • Strong understanding of compensation regulations, policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience leading compensation review cycles and compensation planning processes.
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to partner effectively with HR, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and leadership teams.
  • Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Experience in maintaining and analyzing compensation data within HR systems.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to provide training and guidance on compensation practices and policies.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with total rewards and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Experience using data analytics to support compensation strategy and business decisions.
  • Experience supporting compensation programs within fast-paced or scaling organizations.


Hours and Location:

  • M-F, 40 hours/week
  • 100% remote
