Job description

Our Customer is an American financial services and digital payments company based in San Francisco, California. They’re working to help their diverse audiences — sellers, individuals, artists, fans, developers, and all the people in between — overcome barriers to access the economy.

We are seeking a Senior Compensation Program Manager on a contract basis to support the Compensation Programs and Strategy team. This role will focus on delivering and managing the global compensation programs, ensuring they are effectively designed, tested, and implemented. Reporting to the Head of Compensation Programs & Strategy, you will play a key role in driving the success of compensation initiatives. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who excels in a dynamic environment and enjoys building robust compensation strategies. This role is 100% remote.

What You'll Do:

  • Drive the design, testing, and implementation of compensation planning tools: Workday, Pave, or HRSoft
  • Develop comprehensive project plans and lead the rollout and continuous improvement of global compensation programs
  • Manage and analyze complex datasets to distill data-driven compensation insights and communicate findings effectively
  • Model compensation scenarios and build tools to enhance efficiency and decision-making processes
  • Lead technology reviews to ensure the compensation systems and processes are scalable and meet the organization’s needs
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including People Partners, People Ops, IT, and Talent Management, to ensure alignment on initiatives and timelines
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address compensation-related challenges
  • Navigate ambiguity and rapidly changing environments while maintaining a high sense of urgency and attention to detail

Must-haves:
  • 8+ years of experience in compensation program management or a related field
  • Demonstrable knowledge of data analysis, compensation planning, and project management
  • Proven success in managing large, cross-functional projects
  • Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in data analysis tools like spreadsheets and databases
  • Ability to drive change and develop communication plans for large-scale projects
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Adaptability to navigate ambiguity and changing needs

Preferred:
  • Experience working in high-tech or professional services environments
  • Proficiency in compensation planning tools such as Pave and Workday
  • Advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field) and/or Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certification
