The Mom Project is excited to support Etsy with their search for a Senior Content Strategist to join them on a contract basis!
Overview
Join us in helping Etsy sellers succeed! We're seeking a dynamic content strategist and copywriter to develop compelling content for product launches, seller education, and other marketing initiatives geared toward helping Etsy shop owners succeed. Collaborate with Product Marketing and other teams across Etsy to shape impactful content for email, the Seller Handbook blog, our community spaces, social media, and more. You’ll craft engaging cross-channel plans and bring them to life for our global community. If you're a seasoned copywriter with at least seven years of experience, a knack for campaign planning, and a passion for keeping commerce human, we want you! Let's write the next chapter of Etsy's success story together. This is a contract position that will go through 12/13/2024, and is open to remote work (on standard East Coast business hours).

If you join us, here are some of the things you’ll be doing:- Serve as Seller Content Strategy lead for product launches and lifecycle marketing initiatives:
- Collaborate with the Product Marketing team to provide strategic guidance on messaging and positioning and create messaging prioritization frameworks
- Develop and execute cross-channel content plans to support strategies for product launches and ongoing product promotion, using data and research to inform decisions and partnering with other content creators to bring your plan to life
- Produce launch and ongoing marketing content for various channels as needed, including email, Seller Handbook, in-product, and social (both static and video formats)
- Manage content production schedule, documentation, and communications with key stakeholders across our team
- Manage content approvals (including legal reviews) and submissions to translations
- Track, analyze, and report on results
- Serve as Seller Content Strategy lead for longer-term thematic campaigns and retail moments:
- Develop cross-channel content plans to support campaign strategies, using data and research to inform decisions and partnering with other content creators
- Write and/or edit campaign content as needed, including for email, the Seller Handbook, in-product, and social
- Manage production schedule, documentation, and communications with key stakeholders
- Manage content approvals (legal, PMM, etc.) and submissions to translation team
- Track, analyze, and report on results
- Conceptualize and develop brand playbooks that serve as a reference for content development
- Work hand-in-hand with the Research and Marketing teams to conduct research and identify industry trends and insights that inform content strategy
- Edit content created by other content team members and partners
A bit more about you:
- You have 7+ years of professional copywriting and editing experience, preferably for a brand or agency.
- You have a proven track record of successfully planning and writing content for marketing campaigns and/or helping to facilitate product launches for 5+ years.
- You have experience working in a variety of marketing channels and formats, including email, video scripts, landing pages, and the product experience.
- You can translate complex technical and business concepts into clear, conversational, and engaging writing with a strong, consistent voice that centers the consumer perspective.
- You can quickly onboard onto complex projects with tight deadlines to accommodate emerging business priorities.
- You’re able to successfully collaborate with everyone from marketing team members to product managers to designers.
- You’re familiar with content management systems and analytics platforms.
- You have excellent judgment and can make insightful decisions about copy based on data and research.
