Job description
Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.
Our customer is looking for a Senior Content Strategist on a contract basis to help support their business needs. In this role, you will support the team with content production and measurement. The ideal candidate has a genuine interest in personal finance and economic trends. This role is on-site in Milwaukee, WI.
Responsibilities:
- Support implementation of content strategy for the creation, delivery, and governance of articles, videos, webinars, podcasts, and other content formats
- Execute quarterly and weekly performance reports to track the impact of thought leadership and content marketing initiatives
- Identify and support the implementation of content measurement best practices to improve reach and effectiveness
- Use data and research to evaluate content performance and clearly present insights and rationale to stakeholders
- Write clear, consistent copy focused on consumer and client experiences
- Manage internal content review workflows by routing materials through subject matter experts, compliance, and business partners using project management tools
- Ensure strict adherence to brand voice, tone, and style guidelines across all written content
Skills and Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience in content strategy, content creation, communications, PR, or a related field
- Strong writing and editing skills with a solid command of English grammar, spelling, and AP style
- Demonstrated interest in personal finance, financial planning, or economic trends
- Experience working in highly regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or insurance
- Analytical mindset with experience using data to evaluate content performance and business impact
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work independently and proactively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience using project management tools such as Workfront and Jira
- Experience working within content management systems such as Drupal, WordPress, or HubSpot
- Familiarity with basic SEO principles and analytics tools, such as Adobe Analytics
- Experience conducting site assessments, competitive analysis, and research-driven evaluations
