Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.
We are seeking a Senior Director, Global Privacy Operations on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days remote/week) in Sunnyvale, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Operate under the direction of the VP, Privacy & Data Protection, to identify, assess, and manage privacy risks across the organization.
- Review and monitor program metrics to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of the privacy program.
- Oversee the completion of privacy assessments, ensuring they are conducted thoroughly, accurately, and in a timely manner.
- Lead response efforts to privacy incidents and data breaches, ensuring appropriate mitigation and reporting.
- Provide expert guidance on technical and organizational controls to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal and sensitive data.
- Manage and mentor a team of privacy engineers to support strategic and operational privacy objectives.
- Guide and support compliance monitoring activities to ensure alignment with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Ensure Records of Processing Activities (ROPAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) are completed comprehensively and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
