Job description
Our Customer is an American worldwise clothing and accessories retailer, founded in 1969. Over the last 50 years, the company has grown from a single store to a global fashion business with seven brands. Their clothes are availabile in 90 countries worldwide through over 3,100 company-operated stores, almost 400 franchise stores, and e-commerce sites and is still growing.
We are seeking a Senior Fashion Designer on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is on-site in San Francisco, CA.
Responsibilities:
- Create original concepts that encompass style, color, and fabric based on fashion trend interpretation
- Produce sketches and prepare seasonal presentations of proposed designs
- Analyze fashion trends to inform design direction
- Partner with sourcing and materials development teams
- Provide basic fit and body block information and attend fit sessions
- Support creative direction and deliver high-quality designs
- Manage tech packs using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Miro
- Conduct research, sketching, and development of print packages
- Collaborate with sourcing partners for innovative woven trends
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Design or equivalent experience
- Related experience in apparel design and trend development
- Strong attention to detail and creativity
- Skilled in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Miro
- Experience managing tech packs and print packages
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality designs for major fashion brands
