Job description
Our Customer is a leading provider of alternative and specialty parts to repair and accessorize automobiles and other vehicles with operations in North America, Europe, and Taiwan. They offer their customers a broad range of replacement systems, components, equipment, and parts to repair and accessorize automobiles, trucks, and recreational and performance vehicles.
We are seeking a Senior Income Tax Accountant to assist with income tax compliance, provision, audits, research, and plan processes for domestic and/or international operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in documenting transfer pricing policies.
- Prepare and/or review quarterly income tax provisions.
- Prepare and/or review tax account reconciliations.
- Research tax statutes and regulations as required, including identifying tax incentives/credits.
- Assist in tax planning for mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other strategic tax planning initiatives.
- Identify, initiate, and support the continual improvement of the quality and efficiency of processes and systems.
- Assist leadership with special projects and/or manage special projects.
- Assume other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of related experience required; OR Master’s degree or CPA Certification and 3+ years of related experience required.
- A general understanding of GAAP (including ASC 740), tax statutes, and regulations.
- Experience with fixed asset depreciation, tax compliance, tax provision, and general ledger activity.
Preferred Requirements:
- CPA Certification and/or Master’s in Taxation.
- Experience with OneSource Income and Provision Tax software.
- Experience with Tax Research Software (Bloomberg, CCH, Checkpoint).
- Experience with Alteryx
- Experience with Oracle ERP Software.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and to draw and interpret graphs.
- Frequent use of Outlook, Word, Excel, graphics, etc. Ability to create, maintain, and incorporate functions into Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, databases, and PowerPoint presentations to support business objectives.
- Regularly uses moderately complex oral and written skills. May train others in functional areas, interact with others, and make presentations to departments or middle management.
- Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive, and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
- Decisions generally affect own job or the assigned functional area.
- Results are defined; sets personal goals and determines how to achieve results with few or no guidelines to follow; supervisor/manager provides broad guidance and overall direction.
- Handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously with moderate complexity.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:
- Work is primarily sedentary: Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and use a computer, keyboard, and mouse frequently.
- Travel may be required periodically, including overnight stays (contingent on position requirements).
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Hours and Location:
- M-F 40 hours/week
- Hybrid in Nashville, TN
