Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.
We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is onsite in Norcross, GA.
This role will partner with various IT teams, facility groups, and technology vendors to deploy and decommission network infrastructure globally - Switches, Firewalls, Proxies, SDWAN, Wireless Controllers / APs, UPS, PDUs, structured cabling, etc. and work with various facility project managers to setup new large-scale offices, campuses, labs, etc. based on business requirements.
What You'll Do:
- Provision and maintain health of Network infrastructure in different data centers and campuses by working with local vendors and carriers - Internet, MPLS, P2P, etc.
- Administer Cisco (Routing, Switching, Wireless) and SDWAN infrastructure.
- Adhere to IT access-management and change control procedures.
- Deep dive with design teams to update runbooks and maintain templates for the rest of the team to follow standards.
- Partner and work with different IT groups to obtain knowledge in new technologies, setup, and architecture related topics.
- Document new operational issues and solutions from field and transfer knowledge to team members.
- Collaborate with team members and mentor junior staff to execute the IT strategy in a cost effective and timely manner.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices in risk management techniques and integrate new methods and tools as appropriate.
- Support in deploying other areas of technology (Network Access Control, Firewalls, VPN, and SNMP based monitoring).
- Support Network and Firewall OS patching, monitoring and alerting.
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of support experience in Network and IT Security domain.
- Cisco or similar Certifications - Cisco CCNP or similar.
- SDWAN, Cisco Routing, Switching (Catalyst and Nexus), Cisco APIC, Palo Alto Firewalls, Network Proxies, SDWAN, Enterprise Wireless deployment.
- TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, IPS, SDWAN, DMVPN, NAC and 802.1x deployment.
- Experience in Python scripting, Ansible automation or similar technology is a huge plus.
