We are seeking a Senior Payroll & HRIS Analyst on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.
The Senior Payroll & HRIS Analyst is responsible for managing payroll and time tracking systems, ensuring compliance with labor laws, and optimizing HRIS processes. This role serves as a subject matter expert for UKG Dimensions and UKG Pro, driving system configuration, process improvements, and compliance initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Stay current on payroll, labor, and time-related laws, regulations, and industry trends
- Develop and implement audit programs to monitor wage and hour compliance
- Establish performance criteria and KPIs for payroll and time-tracking processes
- Manage, configure, and maintain UKG Dimensions modules, including timekeeping, attestation, pay rules, accrual profiles, and scheduling
- Configure and support UKG Pro modules such as HR, Benefits, Payroll, Compensation, and Talent
- Ensure system integrity through audits, upgrades, maintenance testing, and troubleshooting
- Configure complex union pay rules, including pension rules and grandfathered structures
- Maintain compliance for attendance, time, pay, tax, and system control rules
- Support payroll operations by ensuring accurate time and attendance data flows into payroll systems
- Monitor and troubleshoot integrations and data feeds between UKG Dimensions and UKG Pro
- Provide day-to-day production support and resolve system defects promptly
- Assess current HRIS and payroll processes and recommend improvements
- Audit and map division processes to identify standardization and optimization opportunities
- Manage all phases of HRIS and payroll-related projects including requirements gathering, process mapping, configuration, testing, deployment, and go-live support
- Facilitate working sessions, cutover tasks, go-live checklists, and post-implementation support
- Design and generate reports, dashboards, and metrics to support HR and business decision-making
- Analyze workforce data to identify trends and ensure compliance
- Develop and deliver training materials, job aids, and user guides
- Provide end-user support and promote proper system utilization
- Create training programs for stakeholder compliance related to payroll, time, labor laws, and company policies
- Liaise with vendors and external partners for system support, troubleshooting, and enhancements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in Payroll or HRIS preferred
- 5+ years of progressive HRIS, payroll, or related experience
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll and labor regulations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong relationship-building and teamwork abilities
- Expertise in UKG Dimensions and UKG Pro configuration and administration
- Expertise in Cognos and Dimensions Data Hub reporting
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, labor laws, and compliance requirements
- Experience in HRIS project management and system integrations
- Advanced analytical and reporting skills
