Job description

Our Customer is seeking a Senior Product Designer on a contract basis to join a small, fast-moving team of AI builders shipping production-grade internal tools for their content organization. This role is 100% remote - CST (+/- 2) hours.


A portfolio demonstrating relevant work is required


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the sole designer across multiple product surfaces, including dashboards, workflow automation tools, CRM systems, and AI-powered reporting platforms
  • Own end-to-end product design from research and interaction design through visual design and shipped UI across multiple internal tools
  • Establish and maintain a lightweight design system to ensure consistency across product surfaces
  • Design interaction patterns for AI-native workflows, including agent supervision, automated triage, intelligent recommendations, and real-time reporting
  • Collaborate directly with senior engineers in a fast-paced, pod-based environment with rapid iteration cycles
  • Simplify complex, multi-source data views into intuitive single-screen user experiences
  • Design end-to-end UX for AI-powered internal dashboards used by large internal user groups
  • Create and refine interaction patterns for AI agent supervision and automated workflow systems
  • Develop and maintain shared component libraries and design systems
  • Rapidly prototype and iterate on new internal tool concepts
  • Conduct user research and usability testing with internal stakeholders
  • Ensure internal tools are usable, scalable, consistent, and widely adopted across the organization


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5-10 years of experience designing complex internal tools, enterprise SaaS platforms, or developer-focused products
  • Strong interaction design and information architecture skills
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating the ability to simplify complex workflows and data-heavy systems
  • Experience designing dashboards, workflow tools, CRM systems, or reporting platforms
  • Experience operating as a sole designer within engineering-heavy teams
  • Strong self-directed and independent work style
  • Experience collaborating closely with engineers in fast-paced product environments
  • Experience designing AI-powered features, workflows, or intelligent systems
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing
  • Strong visual design, UX, and prototyping skills
  • Ability to manage multiple product surfaces simultaneously
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Front-end development experience with React and TypeScript
  • Ability to implement designs directly in code
  • Experience designing AI/ML-powered features or agentic systems
  • Experience building and maintaining design systems and shared component libraries
  • Experience working in a startup or rapid product build-out environments
