Job description

Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.


Our customer is looking for a Senior Project Manager on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 days remote/week) in Franklin, WI.



Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage complex projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project milestones are met and deliverables are achieved
  • Define project objectives and success criteria; track and monitor progress against goals
  • Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Resolve issues to maintain project momentum and quality standards
  • Apply lessons learned and implement best practices to continuously improve project management processes
  • Engage with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and secure necessary support


Skills and Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in project or program management (preferred)
  • PMP certification (desirable)
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and understand dependencies
  • Ability to lead and facilitate meetings to gain consensus.
  • Project discovery and ideation experience
  • Risk and issue management experience
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated success managing stakeholder expectations and driving projects to completion
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project is preferred
