Job description

Our Customer is an American financial services mutual organization based in Milwaukee. The financial security company provides consultation on wealth and asset income protection, education planning, retirement planning, investment advisory services, financial planning trust and private client services, estate planning and business planning. Its products include life insurance, permanent life insurance, disability income, and long-term care insurance; annuities; investments; and investment advisory products and services.

Our Customer is looking for a Senior Project Manager on a contract basis for leading and managing complex projects from initiation to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of delivering projects on time and within scope by developing detailed project plans, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and managing resources effectively. This role is a hybrid setup (3 days onsite and 2 days remote) in Milwaukee, WI.


Responsibilities:

  • Defining project objectives, monitoring progress, mitigating risks, resolving issues, and ensuring that quality standards are met.
  • Creating and maintaining project schedules.
  • Leading and facilitating meetings to gain consensus
  • Risk and issue management
  • Implementing lessons learned and best practices to continually improve the program management processes.
  • Identifying and engaging with key stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for projects, as well as facilitating regular communication and reporting, including status updates and risk management.


Skills and Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of project/program management experience preferred
  • PMP certification desirable
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain robust stakeholder relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects and understand dependencies
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Projects is nice to have
