Job description
Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.
We are seeking a Senior Master Data Governance Project Manager on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is on-site in Sunnyvale, CA.
This role is responsible for ensuring IT applications projects in the Master Data Governance area are completed to the agreed-upon level of quality and within the predefined financial, personnel, and material constraints.
Responsibilities:
- Establish project direction and define clear goals, objectives, and delivery strategies
- Develop work plans and resource plans for IT solution deployments, including critical path and resource management
- Define, monitor, and support project development and deployment metrics
- Create, execute, and maintain detailed project work plans and assign responsibilities across project teams
- Manage project scope, timelines, risks, and issue resolution activities
- Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and meet quality expectations
- Communicate system changes and project updates to stakeholders and business application teams
- Ensure alignment and collaboration across project teams toward shared objectives
- Resolve team conflicts and support effective cross-functional teamwork
- Ensure compliance with IT change management policies, regulatory requirements, standards, methods, and procedures
- Lead cross-functional business application initiatives and coordinate project execution activities
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 8 years of experience leading major cross-functional business application projects
- Experience managing SAP, ERP, or similar enterprise application initiatives
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices
- Familiarity with master data governance principles and best practice processes
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in rapidly changing and ambiguous business environments
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and collaborate across all organizational levels
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives to completion
- Experience working within cross-functional team environments
Preferred Qualifications:
- Medical device industry experience
- PMP or other project management certification
