Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager, Supply Chain Management on a contract basis to be responsible for planning, leading, and executing complex cross-functional projects and supply chain transformation initiatives within the company's Business Applications. This role will require the individual to have domain exposure within the supply chain (Deliver/Logistics, Plan, Make, Source), while knowledge of SAP ECC, S/4 EWMS and TMS (Transportation Management System) will be beneficial. This role is a hybrid setup with 2 days remote and 3 days onsite in Sunnyvale, CA.
What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for managing timelines and execution of projects for IT and business COE-led transportation, warehouse, and distribution (3PL) projects, process improvements, and change management
- Projects will span across a broad range from ideation, and evaluation to implementation of new software systems, scale-up for product launches, system upgrades & facility expansions
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain integrated Logistics and Transportation program/project timelines and governance for all assigned programs/projects
- Drive project management best practices for logistics execution and standardized at a global level and uniformly applied at a regional level for the physical distribution of products encompassing warehousing, and local distribution
- Gain cross-functional alignment on strategies, goals, resources, and timelines - cross-functional teams include Finance, Manufacturing and Operations, Infrastructure, Product Quality, Regulatory and Compliance, Field Service, and other Business Units
- Partner with business PM to organize and lead core team and executive steering committee meetings, including status reports to the project sponsor and steering committee
- Drive resolution of constraints, conflicts, and other challenges that could impact the timely and successful execution of projects
- Provide clear communication to the organization on project status, critical path, as well as potential areas of risk
- Create and manage project plans and assign tasks to team members
- Manage (including ensuring the quality of) project deliverables in line with the project plan:
- Kick Off Presentation
- Detailed Project Schedule in MS Project/Smartsheet
- Project Budget vs. Actuals
- Business Blueprint
- Test Plan
- Training Plan
- Organization Change Management engagement – stakeholder analysis, communication plans, training material and end-user training, solution adoption
- Record, manage project issues, and escalate when necessary, ensuring resolution on a timely basis
- Ensure compliance with internal business and quality system requirements and external regulatory standards
Must Haves:
- Over 7 to 10 years of experience working across business and IT with strong project delivery experience, in key SAP Lead roles as Project or Delivery Manager or COE Technical Lead that involve multi-module implementation of SAP ERP solutions with ECC6.0 or S/4 HANA will be key differentiators
- Minimum 8 years of experience involved in leading major cross-functional projects in Manufacturing Operations
- Worked with SAP S/4 HANA projects and phased global implementations at multi-national industries and led technical project teams in an Agile manner for rollouts
- Showcase at least 2 successful end-to-end implementations of SAP ECC6.0 and S/4 HANA projects in mid-size industries and 1 implementation in large-size manufacturing industry will be a distinguishing factor for the ideal candidate
- Experience in managing partnerships with third-party system integrators, SAP Services, and other service providers in a project implementation
- Knowledge of MS Office and JIRA
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and work well at all levels of an organization and in a cross-functional team environment
- Ability to handle ambiguity effectively and oversee multiple projects at once
- Medical device experience is a plus
- Experience with supervising people desired
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP), or Scrum Master (CSM) desired
Hours & Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week. This role is a hybrid setup with 2 days remote and 3 days onsite in Sunnyvale, CA.
