Job description

Senior Project Manager

$50-70/hour

100% Remote

~24 hours/week

Flexible hours- Must be available for support of Australia projects. Project meetings are scheduled at 10 pm EST / 7 pm PDT.


Core Responsibilities

  • Manage European and Asia/Pacific projects.
  • Vendor Side Project Management
  • Guide adoption of company's Project Management Framework through its application to departmental changes.
  • Manage and mitigate operational, technical and financial risks.
  • Maintain contact with clients and parties involves through email and phone calls, answer questions and concerns, prepare presentations, and enter project data.
  • Communicate with, and organize training to all levels of the organization, including executive audiences on new processes.
  • Manage, defuse, and resolve in-project issues, escalations and crises.
  • Develop detailed plans for each project, including the delivery and resourcing schedule.
  • Collaborate with various teams and hold meetings to develop project plans and present them to upper-level management throughout the project’s lifecycle – from initiation to close out.
  • Closely monitor each project to ensure that projects remain on track, meet deadlines, stay under client’s budget, and deliver according to plan.
  • Responsible for gathering and documenting all project results and then reporting or presenting them to the appropriate stakeholders (both internally and externally).
  • Manage and report on the financial health and profitability of each project. Meet minimum gross margin hurdle rates.
  • Report on the success of the project and any setbacks that were encountered or room for improvement (Lessons Learned).

Qualifications/Skills

  • Formal Project Management Certification required
  • MUST have vendor implementation experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects across multiple time zones and geographies.
  • Articulate English skills – written and verbal (concise, pertinent, grammatically correct language).
  • Ability to easily adapt to fast changing circumstances (i.e., project parameters may change weekly or fortnightly).
  • Ability to negotiate change requests and justify client budget revisions.
  • Ability to manage and reset stakeholder expectations.
  • Knowing various project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall & Hybrid)
  • Demonstrating proficiency to present with PowerPoint and use various Microsoft Office tools like Excel, Word, Outlook and Visio.
  • Learn and apply Project Management methodology

  • Capable of working independently
  • Working within demanding timelines on multiple tasks/tickets simultaneously.
  • A quick learner with the ability to acquire new domain knowledge, self-guided learning capability
  • Comfortable reading through business requirement documents, functional specifications, technical specifications, and attending online briefing sessions with stakeholders
  • Not afraid to ask questions or seek assistance
  • Willing to challenge management & design decisions
  • Natural willingness to share information and provide visibility among team members
  • Willingness to accommodate overseas time zones depending on project geographies (e.g., EU and/or Australia, Asia Pac.)
  • Proven history of working with client’s end-users and technical users.
