Senior Revenue Accountant

The salary range for this position is: $56.21 - $72.54 per hour

We are seeking a Senior Revenue Accountant for a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.

What You’ll Do:

• Work closely with Sales and Legal in Contract Negotiations
• Perform contract review per the Company's revenue recognition policy
• Involvement in the set-up and documentation of policies
• Prepare various ongoing analyses and revenue recognition under ASC 606
• Month-end/quarter-end close: JE for revenue accrual, adjustment, or re-class and reconciliation of revenue and deferred revenue accounts
• Work closely with the ERP team to track projects in progress and system enhancements
• Identify and recommend process improvements for the betterment of the Company
• Assist with SOX compliance and internal and external audits
• Participate in special projects and perform additional duties as required

Must Haves:

• Technical accounting experience
• Senior level revenue accounting experience - not just general accounting
• 6+ years of revenue accounting experience dealing with transaction details
• Experience with SOX 404 internal control assessment and risk assessment
• Experience with process improvement projects, Internet advertising, and contract negotiation
• Experience with Oracle and Salesforce.com
• Audit experience in a Big 4 firm
• Practical knowledge in applying ASC 606
• Expert knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Demonstrated communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to independently research and write technical memos
• Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and work within deadlines with little supervision
• Ability to work independently as well as cross-functionally on various projects
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup environment
• Ability to work during PST hours preferred

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Certified Public Accountant Certification preferred

Hours & Location:

• M-F, 40 hours/week. This role is 100% remote. MUST work PST hours
