Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.


We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer (Python & React) on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days on-site and 2 days remote/week) in Sunnyvale, CA.



Responsibilities:

  • Build secure, scalable React-based connectivity applications.
  • Develop applications and APIs for interfacing with distributed business applications and databases.
  • Define technical approaches for product features, optimizing for speed, performance, effectiveness, and reliability.
  • Support DevOps, QA, and Cyber Security teams during product releases.
  • Develop and influence technical designs and plans across multiple engineering teams.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • 4-10 years of software development experience or proven competency in developing and supporting full-stack applications.
  • Strong experience with React for front-end development.
  • Strong experience with Python for server-side development.
  • Experience with Material-UI.
  • Experience working with JSON.
  • Experience with Windsurf.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes.
  • Experience implementing, customizing, and integrating third-party applications.
  • Hands-on experience with at least three of the following: Python, RESTful web services, SOAP, XML, JSON.
  • Experience with debugging tools such as Wireshark, Fiddler, or Chrome Debug extensions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the Aiohttp library.
  • Experience with Nginx proxy.
  • Experience with MS SQL Server or similar relational databases, including schema creation and stored procedures.
  • Experience with WebSocket.
  • Experience with WAMP (Web Application Messaging Protocol).
  • Experience with .NET Core.
