We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Mobile App Development on a contract basis to support their business needs. This role is a hybrid setup in Richardson, TX.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead scrum teams based on the Agile framework and principles to deliver highly responsive mobile apps for both internal and external use
- Architect and deliver mobile apps to be used by the company Facilities Management Technicians across the Globe
- Deliver high-quality software by adopting best practices from design through the deployment process
- Adopt shift-left practices by implementing unit tests, container build checks and API Tests for the delivered features
- Involved with the investigation and resolution of complex data, system, and software issues in the production environment
- Under broad direction, design and implement strategic partner integrations
- Participate in the specification and design of new features at client or business request
- Participate in the evaluation of new platforms, tools, and technologies
- Provide assistance such as technical guidance, code review, and/or training to coworkers
- What the Team Does:
- Build cloud-native applications utilizing Open-source and Microsoft technologies across multiple cloud platforms
- Modernize monolith legacy applications to highly scalable distributed applications on a microservices-based architecture and deploy them on cloud platforms
- Execute projects on Agile best practices and embrace the DevOps culture across the software delivery lifecycle
- Build and develop integration frameworks for 3rd party vendor applications
- Design and implement new features/applications based on industry standards
- Create modern, responsive web applications to provide real estate services to our internal and external clients
- Develop and distribute Mobile apps built on native or react native architecture for both iOS and Android platforms
- Implement Continuous Security, Integration, Deployment and Monitoring for the software products
Must Haves:
- 5-7 years of experience in Designing, Development and Maintenance of High usage mobile apps for low-tech consumers
- Experience developing Native Apps as well as Hybrid Apps for both iOS and Android using ReactNative, JavaScript
- Experience integrating with backend REST APIs for app development
- Hands-on with Mobile app builds using Continuous Integration tools and publishing to App/Play stores
- Strong understanding of the complete lifecycle of mobile app notifications like Push Notifications along with certificate management for an app
- Experience with Git and Git flow for code lifecycle management
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development cycles
- Ability to communicate ideas/architecture and get buy-in from the relevant stakeholders
- Systems/Software Proficiencies: ReactNative
- Experience using Flutter for Mobile app development preferred
- Azure Cloud experience preferred
- Test Automation experience preferred
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Information Systems, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
Hours & Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week. This role is a hybrid setup in Richardson, TX.
