We are seeking a Senior Supply Demand Planner on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days on-site and 2 days remote/week) in Sunnyvale, CA.

We are looking for team members with very strong analytical skill sets and manufacturing/supply chain experience to participate and lead in the Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) planning process. The SIOP planning function is an excellent way to broaden your experience, skills, and network of colleagues, while leveraging knowledge on large data sets to compute demand and supply plans to meet customer demand and maintain inventory targets. We measure this through various metrics such as Forecast accuracy, Inventory health, Sales Plan v Actuals, Build Plan vs Actuals, First Pass Fill Rates, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead financial, material, and strategic planning activities across supply chain operations
  • Build and maintain analytical models for demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply planning
  • Translate demand and supply plans into financial impacts, including revenue, margin, inventory, and working capital
  • Lead and participate in cross-functional SIOP meetings to develop demand and supply plans
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales Operations, and Finance teams to develop monthly, quarterly, mid-term, and long-term forecasts
  • Partner with NPI, Engineering, and Marketing teams to support product lifecycle planning, including new product introductions and end-of-life planning
  • Review and improve statistical forecasting models to increase forecast accuracy
  • Analyze historical shipment and consumption data to optimize product segmentation and planning assumptions
  • Manage safety stock and inventory targets across regions and manufacturing sites
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, planning, regulatory, and facilities teams to support buffer strategies, building moves, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop capacity and material-constrained build plans through cross-functional collaboration
  • Understand and manage capacity models, including line efficiencies, staffing, material lead times, and operational constraints
  • Conduct scenario planning for various demand and supply situations and communicate associated business impacts and trade-offs
  • Present planning data, insights, and forecasts during cross-functional SIOP meetings
  • Develop load plans to support manufacturing and supply chain execution
  • Monitor forecast performance against actuals and implement corrective actions and mitigation plans
  • Support long-range forecasting, excess and obsolete inventory reduction initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Drive KPI improvements, including forecast accuracy, OTIF, backorders, and finished goods inventory attainment
  • Lead or participate in operational efficiency and profitability improvement projects
  • Troubleshoot and resolve MPS/MRP demand propagation issues
  • Participate in system implementations, testing, and go-live activities related to planning systems and ERP platforms

Skills and Qualifications:

  • MS/MBA with 6+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • BS degree with 8+ years of relevant experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills
  • Experience with demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, and forecasting processes
  • Strong understanding of supply chain and planning domain concepts
  • Experience with product lifecycle management, including new product introductions and end-of-life planning
  • Experience with statistical forecasting models and scenario planning
  • Strong understanding of capacity planning, material constraints, and manufacturing operations
  • Ability to translate operational plans into financial impacts and business insights
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills across Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams
  • Strong leadership, communication, and executive presentation skills
  • Ability to balance service, cost, and operational risk while making strategic recommendations
  • Strong organizational and execution skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with advanced planning systems such as IBP, Oracle, O9, and SAP ERP
  • Experience supporting MPS/MRP planning processes and ERP-related projects
  • Adaptability in fast-paced environments with evolving demand signals and supply constraints
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and process standardization
  • Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Research, Finance, Industrial Engineering, Engineering, Math, or related field preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with SIOP/IBP processes in manufacturing or supply chain environments
  • Experience with advanced planning applications and ERP systems
  • Experience leading cross-functional operational improvement initiatives
  • Experience supporting regulated manufacturing or operational environments
