The Senior Talent Business Partner is a critical, hands-on role focused on building a high-performing and inclusive culture by providing HR expertise and consultation, leadership, and employee coaching and leveraging change management to facilitate HR functional excellence within our organization.


The Mom Project is seeking an experienced Senior Talent Business Partner who is looking to be part of a modern HR function that can effectively interact with business leaders at all levels to create a high-performing inclusive culture where diverse talent can thrive.


You will act as a trusted strategic partner, coach, and change agent to the business, serving as a subject matter expert to develop and translate forward-thinking strategies in the areas of talent management, organizational development, performance management, career development, employee relations, diversity, and compensation planning, into integrated programs that support the attraction, development, and retention of the organization’s most valued asset, our people.


What you will do?

  • Work with senior management and our teams to develop and implement talent strategies focused on building and evolving our culture, supporting our people, and scaling our business.
  • Partner with the business on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment and development.
  • Review and analyze business metrics including data on retention and employee experience in order to recommend systemic improvements.
  • Partner with the business to lead both review processes focused on organizational impact and talent development.
  • Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions, and job leveling.
  • Work with business groups to assess, create and implement innovative solutions for a variety of employee engagement initiatives that support our remote structure
  • Leverage your legal and compliance expertise to support all team members
  • Actively advocate and support diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging
  • Work closely with the Director of Talent Support and Partnership and serve as their backup
  • Serve as an evangelist and example of TMP values


The experience you will bring:

  • 6+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner capacity with progressive responsibility
  • Experience working in a high-growth startup or fast-growth environment is highly preferred
  • HR Degree and/or certifications preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with all levels of the organization to achieve results.
  • Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge and application of employment laws such as ERISA, COBRA, ADA, FLSA, FMLA, and other federal and state laws covering equal opportunity employment
  • Experience translating strategic priorities into programmatic solutions
  • Demonstrated achievements in coaching, influencing, and problem-solving.
  • A data and analytic mindset and proven ability to use data to influence decisions
