We are seeking a part-time Senior Tax Associate to join our growing team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced tax professional who thrives in a supportive, flexible environment while working on challenging and rewarding client engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and review business tax returns, including Form 1065, 1120S, and 1120.
· Analyze client data and prepare financial statements to support accurate business return preparation.
· Assist with individual tax returns and related compliance as needed.
· Work with accounting software platforms (QBO, Xero, QB Desktop) to pull reports and ensure accurate client records.
· Perform payroll and payroll reconciliation reviews.
· Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate client deliverables.
· Communicate effectively with clients regarding financial statements, tax issues, and planning opportunities.
Qualifications:
· Minimum 3 years of tax experience in public accounting or a similar environment.
· EA or CPA designation strongly preferred (or actively pursuing).
· Proficiency with Ultratax CS.
· Familiarity with QBO, Xero, and QuickBooks Desktop required.
· Experience using CaseWare is a plus.
· Strong understanding of financial statements and ability to prepare from raw client data.
· Knowledge of payroll and payroll reconciliations.
· Experience with fixed assets accounting and depreciation schedules.
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
