We are seeking a Senior User Experience Designer on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. We’re looking for a designer who leads by connecting the dots between user insights, design patterns, and business goals. You will partner and collaborate closely with user research, UX writing, product management, engineering, marketing, and data science. This role is a hybrid setup with 2 days remote and 3 days onsite in San Francisco OR Mountain View, CA. 100% Remote outside of the Bay Area

What You'll Do:

  • Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of user-centered design process
  • Create holistic design solutions that address business, brand and user requirements
  • Work with web developers and engineers to deliver final products
Must Have:
  • A Bachelor's degree in graphic design, design communication, human-computer interaction or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 6+ years' experience in user experience design or industry experience in consumer products (corporate, software, web or agency)
  • Expertise in leveraging design tools such as Figma, working with design systems, patterns and component libraries
  • Expertise establishing design frameworks, interaction models, and motion patterns through effective prototyping
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (including user research, product management and engineering)
  • Experience participating in the complete product development lifecycle of web and/or software applications
  • Solid understanding of user-centered and web design principles as well as current web technologies (Ai, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Ability to present cohesive design approaches to a non-design audience (including business, product and technology teams)
  • Ability to create information architecture diagrams, wireframes, prototypes and screen flows
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines with little supervision
  • Ability to grasp multiple product requirements with careful attention to detail
