Job description
The Mom Project is excited to support our client with their search for an experienced SEO Content Manager to join their team on a part-time contract basis.
The SEO Content Manager will temporarily manage SEO content strategy and reporting for our client's web properties. Working under the SEO team, this person will be responsible for reviewing keyword trends, analyzing organic performance of digital content and working directly with editor and SEO key stakeholders. The ideal candidate is proficient in SEO content strategy and large dataset reporting, well-versed in SEMRush, Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Google Sheets. We're looking for someone who is able to work independently, deliver on project requirements with little hand-holding, communicative and decisive. Experience with editorial content creation and an interest in weddings are a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The SEO content consultant will execute on-page and off-page SEO strategies for business unit(s) through these activities:
● Conduct in-depth organic content performance analysis, including MoM/YoY reporting on organic traffic, content's organic share, and key performance drivers.
● Monitor and report on content goals vs. actuals, providing detailed page path and category-level insights.
● Track and analyze keyword performance at the category level, including positions and aggregate search volume changes, and manage monthly keyword uploads to SEMrush.
● Analyze AI-generated content (AIO) performance, focusing on keyword ownership and top 10 positions.
● Provide SEO training and monitor technical best practices, including regular content crawls, auditing, and flagging indexing, schema, or code errors.
● Deliver monthly content update recommendations based on performance, seasonality, and trends and flag SEO considerations for the Editorial team.
● Partner with cross-functional teams to address ad-hoc SEO-related questions.
SUCCESSFUL SEO CANDIDATES HAVE:
● 5-7 years experience in an SEO role with a focus on content
● Proficient at managing and analyzing large datasets in Excel, translating complex data into accessible visuals and reports that inform decision-making across all stakeholder levels.
● Experience with Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, SEMrush, and technical SEO requirements.
● Demonstrated analytical skills, attention to detail, and quality assurance. ● Understanding of basic HTML, CSS, JavaScript as it relates to SEO.
● Experience with web analytics programs (Google Analytics and Qlik preferred). ○ Google Analytics certification is a plus.
● Familiarity with SEO applications (Screaming Frog, DeepCrawl, Ahrefs, Moz, e.g.). ● Ability and eagerness to effectively balance ad-hoc daily requests with long term projects.
● A passion for SEO and an ongoing drive to learn, understand, and implement white-hat techniques.
● Excellent drive, reliability, and cross-departmental collaboration, with strong problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills
● Bachelor’s Degree in related field of study.

HOURS AND LOCATION:
● Monday - Friday, 25-30 hours/week
● 100% Remote for US based candidates
