Job description

SEO Manager

Location: Remote (U.S. Based)

Type: Full-Time

Our company helps service-based businesses generate exclusive, high-converting leads through powerful SEO, content, and advertising strategies.

We’re looking for a SEO Manager to lead our team of SEO Specialists and ensure campaigns deliver consistent results for our clients through strong execution, strategic alignment, and cross-functional coordination.

About the Role

As the SEO Manager, you’ll be the go-to leader for all things related to Google Business Profile (GMB) optimization and Local SEO execution. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that our SEO team is supported, trained, and operating at a high level — consistently following best practices and helping campaigns ramp up effectively over time.

This is a people-first, strategy-aligned role where your success is measured not by your own optimization work, but by the performance of the team you guide.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and coach a team of SEO Specialists, helping them grow in confidence, skill, and execution
  • Own the implementation and evolution of our SEO strategy, SOPs, and best practices
  • Monitor task completion and fulfillment timelines to ensure nothing falls through the cracks
  • Collaborate closely with Strategy, SEO, Content, and Ads teams to keep campaigns aligned and moving
  • Analyze lead trends, keyword rankings, and task execution to identify areas for improvement or escalation
  • Resolve Local SEO issues (suspensions, verification, ranking drops) and unblock team members as needed
  • Drive SOP adoption, deliver team training sessions, and continuously optimize internal workflows

Success Looks Like

You’ll know you’re succeeding when:

  • New campaigns follow Local SEO SOPs from day one
  • The majority of campaigns meet lead and ranking benchmarks over time
  • Team members are confident, focused, and aligned — and escalations are resolved quickly

Tools You'll Use:

Required tools: BrightLocal, Google Business Profile (GMB), Asana, Slack, Looker Studio, ChatGPT, Whimsical

Bonus tools (nice to have): Notion, Airtable, HubSpot

If you’re confident navigating these tools and ready to lead a team that uses them daily, we’d love to connect.

Who You Are

  • You have experience leading or mentoring a fulfillment team or SEO specialists
  • You’re deeply familiar with Google Business Profiles, local search ranking factors, and campaign execution
  • You love turning strategies into systems, helping people stay on track, and solving problems collaboratively
  • You can manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and keep a team focused without micro-managing
  • You’re an excellent communicator and cross-functional collaborator

Why Join Us?

We’re a fully remote, high-performance team that helps businesses grow. You’ll have the freedom to lead with autonomy, the tools to execute at scale, and a culture that values strategic thinking, continuous improvement, and collaborative success.

Ready to lead a team that powers local business growth through smart, scalable SEO?
