We are seeking an SEO Marketing Manager on a contract basis to support our Customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid in Mountain View, CA.

This role will bring in-depth knowledge of SEO best practices (both technical and content) and a proven track-record of managing, optimizing, and growing organic search with a focus on delivering business goals (traffic, registered users, revenue). Your primary goal will be to work closely with the SEO team to partner on organic search projects and oversee the development backlogs to drive relevant traffic and acquisition for key customer segments. This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organization and project management skills, as well as the ability to drive results through seamless execution, effective verbal and written communication, and clear process structure. The ideal candidate will have 3-5+ years of experience with an exceptional ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, and multi-dimensional team-oriented environment. You will work with a team of passionate marketers who are focused on delivering an exceptional experience for customers and strong results for the business in a high-performing environment



Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the SEO team to manage operational internal work & critical initiatives for the organic search program, including initial planning, creative, implementation, monitoring, optimization, analysis and reporting
  • Ownership of the prioritization and E2E execution of the SEO roadmap covering technical SEO, content, and link optimization that expand across marketing, support & other key experiences
  • Lead SEO projects through completion with SEO Marketing Managers, product managers, engineers, and program managers by bringing down barriers and identifying paths to resolution
  • Partner with the product management and product development leads to create and maintain a SEO product roadmap that delivers customer-focused and business driven outcomes
  • Ensure SEO best practices are implemented on marketing pages by partnering with Execution teams to implement on-page and meta updates, Design to influence creative, Copywriters for on-page copy, Developers for code and platform recommendations, as well as with QA to ensure successful launch on new content or page updates
  • Understand and communicate core SEO KPIs in support of business performance goals
  • Lead and track planning and release progress, providing detailed reporting and status on SEO initiatives, projects, requests, roadmap, and backlog items
  • Create, manage, and maintain hygiene of operational documents & day-to-day processes, including requirement gathering, JIRA/FOLIOs and Smartsheet
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects across multiple teams at one time, using strong communication skills to manage time and expectations appropriately
  • Manage third-party and proprietary SEO tools to ensure maximum efficiency on keyword tracking, organic traffic analysis and reporting, SEO QA, and keyword research



Qualifications:

  • BA/BS, Marketing, Business Administration, Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5+ years of SEO experience and strong project management skills; product management experience a plus
  • Strong experience with SEO best practices, including technical SEO, content marketing, and link optimization
  • Strong experience with SEO research tools and analytics platforms (Google Search Console, Adobe Analytics, Botify, SEMRush, STAT, ScreamingFrog, etc.)
  • Excellent attention to detail with a strong drive for delivering a great experience or result
  • Strong HTML, JS, and similar experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including using measurement and analyzing large datasets to gain insights and drive business decisions
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize activities effectively; focus on critical few, communicates, align conflicting priorities & propose solutions, and manage the end-to-end lifecycle through completion and release
  • Experience interfacing with development teams and content creation teams, including areas such as CMS platforms (Wordpress), HTML, and JavaScript
  • Experience with project management tools and processes preferred, including Smartsheet, JIRA, Asana, and Google Suite products
  • Ability to perform well under pressure while leading collaboration with cross-functional internal teams and agency partners
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively to a range of audiences from seniors leaders, product managers, and channel managers
  • Passion for staying current on the latest search marketing trends
  • Understanding of various marketing metrics and positive attitude and enthusiasm for driving results
