We are seeking a Service Designer, Digital Ecosystem on a contract basis to drive the continuous tracking and evolution of the company's digital surfaces and products. We’re looking for an execution-focused individual, who can look at the big picture from a user experience, technology, and business standpoint and translate it into visual assets and functional documentation to inform solution design and execution. This role supports processes and engineering on a global scale. The role is 100% remote to these locations: Houston, TX, Denver, CO, New York, NY, Los Angeles, San Diego, and Menlo Park, CA.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify and support transformative cross-functional initiatives to improve employee experience and business processes for Human Resources
- Advocate for the user through human-centered design methodologies (such as design research, service blueprinting, collaborative work session design and facilitation, rapid prototyping, and frameworks) to strategically define ideal experiences and solutions across in-person and digital touchpoints
- Translate business strategy and stakeholder needs into documented business and functional requirements for engineering teams
- Create service design outputs including user journey and system maps, service architecture diagrams, user flow diagrams, and service blueprints
- Partner with Business and Engineering teams to drive alignment on future state visions, and to deliver innovative solutions ensuring acceptance criteria are met
- Maintain effective communication with relevant project stakeholders
- Influence technical solutions by leveraging and maximizing a suite of current and future technology investments
- Effectively leverage data dashboards and metric libraries to inform prioritization processes and engineering roadmaps
- Leverage User Research to identify adoption opportunities for new products and improvements for current products, supporting user-centered activities such as concept testing and usability testing
- Design and drive co-creative design thinking sessions to drive alignment and accelerate delivery
Must-Haves:
- 5+ years of experience implementing user-centric solutions
- 5+ years of experience creating business requirements artifacts, including process designs and service blueprints
- 3+ years of experience leveraging agile methodology to deliver solutions in collaboration with product/application managers, designers, researchers, data specialists, and developers
- Experience influencing at all levels of the organization, as well as driving and implementing company-wide changes
- Experience leveraging qualitative and quantitative data to drive business decisions and technology solutions
- Proven communications, relationship management, partnership building, and leadership influencing skills
- Demonstrated experience leading global technical projects and end-to-end collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience with prototyping and wireframing digital solution with Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent tools
- Experience with designing and delivering design thinking sessions and workshops, setting clear expectations, and defining tangible outcomes
- A visual and verbal storyteller, delivering insights about people and behavior and driving alignment and prioritization in a way that generates empathy, emotion, and engagement from business and engineering teams
- Ready to collaborate on products and services that change the way employees get things done at the company creating service at scale
- Passionate about creating experiences that combine physical and digital through research, analytics, design, and delivery
- An assumptions challenger, ready to rethink existing processes, and see every pain point as an opportunity for improvement
- Familiarity with Workday, Salesforce, and Workplace by the company's functionality including tenant configuration, data loads, and maintenance preferred
- Enthusiastic about solving complex, system-to-system integration problems preferred
- Demonstrated track record of effectively interacting with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment with stakeholders and users
- Experience leveraging Artificial IntelligenceI for building conversational experiences via chat, voice, etc. preferred
- Experience with data, integration, and analytical-related technologies (big data, relational data structures, industry reporting tools, etc.) preferred
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree is preferred
Hours & Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be 100% remote.
