We are looking for a contract ServiceNow ITOM Specialist to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.



Responsibilities:

  • Architect and lead complex ServiceNow ITOM implementations, ensuring best-in-class Discovery, Service Mapping, and Event Management deployments.
  • Design, configure, and optimize CMDB, CSDM structures, discovery patterns, and service models for accuracy, performance, and scalability.
  • Lead technical workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, and design reviews.
  • Develop and validate solution architectures aligned to the enterprise strategy and ITOM roadmap.
  • Enhance Discovery and service mapping coverage, improving data integrity and operational readiness.
  • Build dashboards and reporting for CMDB health, service visibility, and operational insights.
  • Evaluate emerging platform capabilities and offer recommendations for adoption.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and technical mentorship to internal teams and vendors.
  • Ensure alignment between ITOM solutions and ITSM, SecOps, DevOps, and operational workflows.
  • Support integrations, testing, deployment, and post-implementation stabilization.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years designing, architecting, and leading enterprise-scale ITOM solutions.
  • 3+ years in a ServiceNow Architect, Lead, or Solution Consultant role with ownership of ITOM delivery.
  • Led three or more full lifecycle ServiceNow implementations.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple implementations of Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, SAM, and HAM.
  • Advanced expertise in configuring:
    • CMDB data models and CI relationships
    • Discovery probes, sensors, and discovery patterns
    • Service mapping configurations and event correlation rules
  • Proven ability to design CMDB structures for cloud, containerization, AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments.
  • Strong understanding of the Common Services Data Model (CSDM) through the Fly maturity level.
  • Experience analyzing business services, mapping dependencies, and enabling ITSM processes (Incident, Change, DevOps, Vulnerability Response).
  • Extensive scripting knowledge on the ServiceNow platform (Glide, Business Rules, Script Includes).
  • Experience designing and implementing integrations to third-party systems using APIs, MID servers, and integration tools.
  • Experience building dashboards for CMDB health, discovery results, and operational reporting.
  • Ability to provide technical assessments, architecture documentation, and expert-level guidance to stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and drive closure.


Preferred:

  • Certification in SAM or Cloud Management.
  • Experience supporting cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure), container technologies, or hybrid infrastructures.
  • Advanced knowledge of CMDB governance, CSDM frameworks, and performance optimization.


Certifications Required:

  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Service Mapping
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Event Management


Preferred:

  • Certifications in SAM or Cloud Management.
  • Experience supporting ITOM transformations in large, complex enterprises.
  • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes), microservices, or cloud-native architectures.
  • Familiarity with ATF, Service Portal, UI Builder, and Platform Analytics.
