Job description

Our Customer is a consumer financial services company headquartered in Connecticut. The company offers consumer financing products, including credit, promotional financing and loyalty programs, installment lending to industries, and FDIC-insured consumer savings products through the consumer bank, its wholly owned online bank subsidiary.


We are seeking a Social Content Strategist and Copywriter on a contract basis to assist in improving employer brand awareness, specifically in supporting the development of CXO LinkedIn content. This role is a hybrid setup (2 days onsite and 3 days remote/week) in Stamford, CT.



Responsibilities:

  • Develop & provide social media copy with the purpose of amplifying the work of others & to enact a sense of EE Pride in messaging.
  • Participate in operating mechanisms to solidify upcoming CHRO post copy, LI Live/video recordings, commenting, etc., to include Corporate Responsibility, PR, and Internal Comms
  • Proactively connect with internal key stakeholders to identify post content amplifying internal EE imperatives. ie, Employee Resource Groups, Corp Citizenship, Hub Connection, Employee Segments, Campus, Culture survey, etc.
  • Cultivate effective internal relationships and partner across the various functions to bring the best ideas with a coordinated effort.
  • Engage in a self-initiated discovery process to identify additional imperatives and contributions worthy of highlighting externally, connect/interview internal EE(s) to understand role and gather story details, create media & content, build assets (photos/video), present copy for approval
  • Consider the external market and other relevant CXO content to offer new ideas and best practices for consideration.
  • Leverage performance analytics to make recommendations or revisions to broaden reach


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, or Communications. In lieu of a degree, a high school diploma, and 5 years of progressive experience in corporate social media.
  • 3 years of experience in copywriting, deep experience with LinkedIn, and utilizing additional features/capabilities within the platform
  • Prior experience in employer brand and/or social media marketing specific to people and culture imperatives is ideal.
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and directly engage as well as lift up and make strategic recommendations.
