Job description

Social Media Manager

100% Remote

1099 Contract


Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage monthly content calendar, with flexibility to accommodate timely PR, campaign, or product updates.
  • Create and publish original, on-brand content (graphics, videos, captions) across platforms including but not limited to the following:
    • (Core) Instagram: 1 post / day + 1 story / day
    • (Core) Facebook: 4-7 posts/week
    • (Experimental) TikTok: 5–8 posts/week
    • (Experimental) Threads: 5–8 posts/week
    • (Experimental) Reddit: 5–8 posts/week
  • Engage with our community daily—responding to comments, DMs, and questions with professionalism and empathy across platforms including but not limited to the following:
    • Instagram
    • Facebook
    • Threads
    • Reddit
    • TikTok
  • Monitor trends and platform changes to inform strategy and keep our content fresh and relevant.
  • Share media coverage and company news across all channels in a timely manner.
  • Track key metrics, analyze performance, and present insights to guide future content decisions.

Qualifications/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years experience managing brand social media accounts and growing engaged communities
  • Strong understanding of social media strategy, content planning, and platform best practices
  • Proficiency with social media tools (e.g., Hootsuite, HubSpot, Sprout, or similar)
  • Strong graphic design and video editing skills (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with a conversational, authentic tone
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Passionate about women's health and building inclusive online space
