Job description

Our Customer is a consumer financial services company headquartered in Connecticut. The company offers consumer financing products, including credit, promotional financing and loyalty programs, installment lending to industries, and FDIC-insured consumer savings products through the consumer bank, its wholly owned online bank subsidiary.

We are looking for a Social Media Content Creator on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. This role is 100% remote.

Reporting to the VP, Social & Content Strategy, this new social media role will facilitate an “Always On” day-to-day execution of content creation, with support to social performance analytics and community management for the CareCredit social media accounts. This role will also have a meaningful impact on the public-facing perception of the brand, driving audience awareness, consideration and engagement through thoughtful and relevant social media brand activity.


What You'll Do:

  • Day-to-day Always-On social content creation including but not limited to:
    • Collaborating and daily communication with the VP, Social & Content Strategy and the AVP, Organic Social Media roles to inform CareCredit social content needs.
    • Ensuring social content creation projects are relevant and meeting the overall CareCredit social media strategy and holistic brand business goals.
    • Self-led project management of content projects.
    • Creation of consumer facing (B2C) social media content in the form of video, graphics, static and social-optimized copywriting including channel nuanced hashtag strategies.
    • Supporting the AVP, Organic Social Media role to check on the content and posts as they publish live to the CareCredit social profiles for any mistakes or glitches in the publishing process.
  • A daily reference to CareCredit social performance metrics to inform content creation strategies and execution.
  • Working with the VP, Social & Content Strategy role to create new social analytics reporting processes and systems.
  • Supporting the CareCredit Social Team in monitoring community management streams for:
    • Social post comments.
    • Channel DMs.
    • Social listening around user-generated conversation about the CareCredit brand through social pages and review sites.
  • Respond to consumer feedback on behalf of the brand on owned social media accounts, maintaining the CareCredit brand social voice and tone.
  • Regularly monitoring the competitive space and being aware of relevant market changes.
  • Liaise with appropriate internal teams to stay updated on new product features, seasonal messaging, and marketing to ensure brand consistency and accuracy.
  • Make strategic content development recommendations that drive engagement and acquisition.
  • Working closely with the VP, Social & Content Strategy role for direction and guidance from the CareCredit social strategy including voice and tone and needed tactical approach.

Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • 4-6 years of consumer facing (B2C) social media content creation and analytics experience, including social-optimized copywriting to go along with video, graphic and static posts.
  • Proven and demonstratable experience using social media platforms YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Pinterest, TikTok.
  • Demonstrated passion for social media content, living and breathing current social content trends across Meta (FB & IG), LinkedIn, Pinterest and TikTok.
  • Proven and demonstratable ability to move between real-time social content creation on short notice in a faster timeline, in balance with pre-planned content creation.
  • Proven and demonstratable experience in pre-planned and on-the-fly video production, editing, smart phone photography and content storytelling to a social consumer message and audience.
  • Proven and demonstratable experience using editing software's like Capcut, Meta IG & FB native app creation tools, TikTok native app creation tools, and Canva as four essentials, with bonus experience in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro and similar content editing apps.
  • Experience sourcing and working with stock video & photography footage.
  • Strong command of grammar in written form.
  • Proven and demonstratable understanding of how social copywriting differs from traditional marketing copywriting with strong skills in social channel nuanced captions and hashtag strategies.
  • Experience in repurposing/upcycling of existing content (video & photography).
  • Clear and concise communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Strong project management, organizational skills and data driven decision making with an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A self-starter and collaborative team player with the ability to self-lead or step into a group collaborative environment as needed.
  • Excellent content creation skills.
  • Highlight skilled in communication and collaboration.
  • Compassion and patience when communicating with public-facing social users in comments and DMs.
  • A deep attention to detail.
  • A displayed understanding of the role social media plays within a brand’s storytelling and culture.

Preferred:
  • Experience responding to social media users and consumers in the specific brand appropriate social voice and tone on behalf of brand social media accounts.
  • Experience creating social content amplification strategies and calendars.
  • Experience and understanding of paid social media with ad management and audience development.
  • Ability to make recommendations based on historical social performance data analytics, industry benchmarks, trends and research.
