Job description

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest
  • Create content ideas, scripts, captions, and posting calendars tailored to a romance book series and publishing brand
  • Produce short‑form video concepts and collaborate on storytelling angles
  • Engage with readers, influencers, and online communities to build brand awareness
  • Track engagement, growth, and performance metrics to identify what’s working
  • Brainstorm creative marketing ideas, launch strategies, and long‑term brand opportunities
  • Take initiative in testing new formats, trends, and growth tactics
  • Collaborate directly with the founder on brand voice, messaging, and audience development
  • Bring fresh ideas, entrepreneurial energy, and a builder’s mindset to every project

Qualifications & Skills

  • Strong experience with social media platforms, especially TikTok and Instagram
  • Ability to create compelling content, short‑form video ideas, and engaging captions
  • Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable building something from the ground up
  • Creative thinker with strong instincts for storytelling and audience engagement
  • Self‑directed, proactive, and able to work independently without micromanagement
  • Comfortable experimenting, iterating, and learning quickly
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Avid reader or someone who enjoys books and storytelling (bonus if you love romance)
  • Experience with Canva, CapCut, or similar tools is a plus
  • Marketing, branding, or content creation background is a strong advantage
