We are looking for a Social Media Researcher/Curator on a contract basis who can help support our client’s business needs. This role is 100% remote.

This role is responsible for finding, surfacing and developing original content for social media accounts. This person should be immersed in social media, passionate and informed about on-platform and off-platform trends and culture that informs the content we feature from official handles. The ideal candidate is highly creative, organized, prioritizes attention to detail, thrives in a multi-tasking, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, surface, and amplify trends across a diverse spectrum of topics
  • Research and suggest relevant content and creators for coverage on social channels
  • Craft engaging content for social channels, working in partnership with the larger Product Social team, based on signals from the audience
  • Understand the interests and behaviors of the social media audience and how to best connect with them and keep them engaged
  • Drive meaningful engagement by understanding the audience and their interests and connections
  • Actively build community across platforms for social channels
  • Use social insights and listening tools to identify great opportunities for engagement
  • Work collaboratively across the team and communicate effectively

Required Qualifications:
  • Experience in trend spotting and translating trends to social
  • Passion in social media culture; experience in trend spotting and translating trends to social
  • Demonstrated success in a self-starter, fast-paced, and changing environment; experience prioritizing multiple projects at once and adapting to changing priorities
  • Demonstrated creativity, with effective communication skills to bring ideas to a broad audience
  • Experience with quick-turn/rapid response communications
  • Experience balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic initiatives
  • A passion for (and strong grasp) of social media, humor and emerging culture
  • Demonstrate self-starter skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of experience in social, editorial or communications
  • Knowledge of videographers and photographers and photo/video shoot experience
  • An in-depth knowledge, familiarity and experience of working with social media products, to publish creative content across multiple surfaces including Reels, Stories, Feed
  • Languages including French, German or Portuguese, Japanese or Chinese or Indian-spoken languages would be extremely beneficial
