We are seeking a Social SEO Manager on a contract basis to support our customer’s business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days onsite 2 days remote/week) in San Diego, CA.
The Social SEO Manager will be responsible for collaborating with internal teams and SEO agencies to conduct content gap analyses, provide content recommendations, and develop SEO-focused social and blog content. This role will also involve ongoing analysis and reporting of keyword rankings and optimization efforts.
This opportunity is ideal for a high-performing, driven self-starter who excels at translating the brand message into compelling, high-ranking social and blog content. You will be an expert in producing SEO content strategies for both blog and social media, developing social and influencer briefs, and consistently reviewing content with an SEO-focused mindset.
Manager will report directly to the Group Communications Manager of the Consumer Group, and will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that boost audience engagement and organic traffic through advanced SEO practices and data-driven insights.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO content strategies based on social search data from platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, and the TurboTax blog to improve search visibility and maximize engagement. Focus on trending topics that resonate with the target audience.
- Blog responsibilities include:
- Strategic content development
- Management of the editorial calendar
- Copywriting in adherence to brand and legal guidelines
- Creation of WordPress landing pages
- Editing and publishing content
- Collaboration with internal teams and stakeholders
- Partnering with agencies on blog content planning, SEO, and development
- Ongoing CRO (Conversion Rate Optimization) updates.
- Social search responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing a full-funnel social search strategy centered around identifying top keywords on social platforms.
- Creating optimized content to rank in social search queries and meet or exceed all key performance metrics and goals.
- Targeting evergreen and trending keywords, leveraging platform signals, and SEO insights.
- Partnering closely with the social team, agencies, and platform partners to enhance social search efforts.
- Ensuring social search platform optimization for all new social posts.
- Leveraging social listening and search trends to identify brand opportunities.
