Our Customer is a corporation that develops, manufactures, and markets robotic products designed to improve clinical outcomes of patients through minimally invasive surgery. Founded in 1995, their goal was to create innovative, robotic-assisted systems that help empower doctors and hospitals to make surgery less invasive than an open approach. Working with the top medical professionals, they continue to develop new, minimally invasive surgical platforms and future diagnostic tools to help solve complex healthcare challenges around the world.


We are seeking a Senior Python Developer – AWS on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is on-site in Sunnyvale, CA.


The primary function of this position is to develop software applications supporting medical devices

and server-side platforms.



Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business requirements and design, program, unit test, and document software applications.
  • Enhance existing applications and develop new solutions to meet evolving business needs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software application issues efficiently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive projects to completion.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining coding and technology standards for application development.
  • Partner with product development teams to assess the impact of product changes (e.g., da Vinci and related products) on server-side applications.
  • Work with management and functional groups to prioritize requests and ensure timely delivery.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience as a software engineer with a focus on application development.
  • Proficiency in Python (Async), AWS, and SQL.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams on complex projects.
