Software Release Manager (Hybrid - Purposeful Onsite)

Our Customer is seeking a Software Release Manager on a contract basis to help scale their healthcare business. This role is remote, but candidates must be willing to come into their Oakland, CA office from time to time.

Responsibilities:

• Manage all software releases, including Autonomous Public Roads releases
• Oversee multiple concurrent releases with varying deployment targets and operational use cases
• Coordinate cross-functional collaboration across AI, software, firmware, hardware, DevOps, and operations teams
• Partner with geographically distributed teams to ensure alignment and timely execution
• Ensure release readiness, documentation, and compliance with internal processes

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
• Minimum of 5+ years of release management experience across hardware, firmware, and software environments
• Experience supporting complex systems such as autonomous vehicles, robotics, or similar technologies
• Strong working knowledge of Git
• Strong working knowledge of Confluence and Jira
• Ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams with high attention to detail
• Strong cross-functional communication and coordination skills
