We are seeking a Senior Data Analytics Engineer - BI & Operations on a contract basis to support our Customer's business needs. This role is hybrid (3 days on-site and 2 days remote/week) in Sunnyvale, CA.
This role will design and deliver scalable data analysis and visualization solutions for engineering teams across Manufacturing, Quality, Supplier, and Post-Market functions. This role is responsible for architecting, implementing, and optimizing data solutions using technologies such as Snowflake, Python, and Tableau, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.
The position plays a key role within the Data Analytics and Business Intelligence function, focusing on transforming raw data into actionable insights through strong data engineering and manufacturing analytics expertise. Responsibilities include designing robust data architectures, ensuring scalability and performance of analytics solutions, and supporting business stakeholders with reliable and meaningful data outputs.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in data engineering, hands-on experience in manufacturing data analytics, and a passion for innovation in analytics solutions. Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments is essential, along with the ability to contribute to building and enhancing data platforms that support business growth. Familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning models, including deploying models into production environments, is considered a strong advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including architecture, design, processes, and source-to-target mapping
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, analysts, and manufacturing stakeholders, to align solutions with business goals
- Design and implement scalable data models within Snowflake to support efficient data storage and retrieval
- Partner with frontend and backend teams to develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports
- Deliver actionable insights to stakeholders through data visualization and reporting
- Support performance optimization across Snowflake and Tableau environments
- Ensure data models and reporting structures align with manufacturing and quality engineering requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
- Experience in data engineering and analytics with a focus on Snowflake, Tableau, and Python
- Strong expertise in designing and implementing data models for enterprise analytics
- Advanced Tableau skills for dashboard development and reporting
- Knowledge of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts
- Experience optimizing performance in Snowflake and Tableau environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global teams
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments with changing priorities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Snowflake, Tableau, or Python
- Experience with additional BI and data visualization tools
- Familiarity with enterprise systems such as SAP or Agile
- Understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes, including PLM, PDM, NPI, BOM, and MRP
- Experience working with process engineering data
- Experience with AI/ML models and deploying them into production
