Job description

We are seeking a Sourcing Analyst on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. The ideal candidate will work closely with business teams across the Client and its affiliates to develop and execute sourcing, contracting, and purchasing strategies to drive business objectives.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the Client to strategically develop, implement and optimize sourcing and vendor management solutions.
- Act as a strategic thought partner for a continuously evolving billion-dollar business. Work effectively with Client's business teams as the primary Source to Pay business partner and category expert, addressing supply chain and supply market opportunities.
- Actively identify, track and manage issues and risks for the projects.
- Identify, develop and deploy industry-leading supplier management, procurement, and category management practices.
- Prepare and manage sourcing documents, contracts, statements of work, and related procurement documents. Drive legal, financial, and technological aspects of outsourced programs.
- Lead contract negotiations that optimize value to the company.
- Ensure program success through strong performance management and governance methodologies, in collaboration with the business.
- Balance business requirements versus technical constraints and maximize business benefits.
- Manage complex sourcing projects (including planning, execution, measurement, and optimization of projects).
- Establish strong collaborative relationships with Global Sourcing Category Teams, Contract Management Teams, Procurement Operations Teams, and Procure to Pay to develop sound operational processes.
- Ensure regional/local processes are aligned to the Client’s global operating model. Understand and apply policies, standards, and practices established for vendor management.
- Build and cultivate strategic relationships with key suppliers.
- Ability to think strategically and operationally/tactically.
- Manage, coordinate and support special projects as needed.
Must-Haves:
- Experience working in a global and virtual environment, both internally and with suppliers.
- Experience with program management, vendor accountability, and optimizing performance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and experience applying these skills to resolve issues strategically.
- Experience negotiating, breaking down cost models, and knowledge of the drivers of ROI.
- Knowledge of legal, financial, and technology components of sourcing.
- Experience in planning, sourcing, negotiating, contracting, and supplier management.
- Experience working with and building successful relationships with business stakeholders, cross-functional groups, and third parties.
- Ability to drive change and improve end-to-end processes.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Masters of Business Administration is preferred.
Hours & Location:
- M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be remote while COVID restrictions are in place. The expectation is to be onsite at our Customer’s Fremont, CA or San Francisco, CA office once it is determined safe to do so.
